<p>AMIkids is a nonprofit school designed for troubled students who have either failed to function suitably in a conventional school setting or have been rejected from county school systems due to excessive trouble with the law. The school's main function is to try to foster a different future for troubled youth that is crime-free and brighter looking than even the children themselves would have thought possible for their own futures. </p> <p>The school is unlike most reform schools because it does not have bars or barbed wire fence lining its perimeter. AMIkids implements innovative programs and alternative coaching methods that are designed to show kids a different, less violent approach to life. This institute is like the last step before their very last step, where the kids are sent away to lockdown institutes in which they may never get an opportunity to reform their ways and recover chances of a better future for themselves. </p>
